Bluejacking and Bluesnarfing
Bluejacking is an attack performed with Bluetooth on devices in range. Attacker will send messages including a contact card (vCard) which typically contains a message in the name field. A vCard can contain a name, address, telephone number, email address and related web URLs. Bluejacking is typically used as a form of spam over bluetooth connections.
Bluesnarfing is an attack designed to obtain access to information on another bluetooth-enabled device. Attacker can launch bluesnarfing attacks to access calendars, contact lists, mails, text messages, pictures or videos. Can also be used to obtain the IMEI from a device, allowing attackers to divert incoming calls/messages to another device without user knowledge.
